Avoiding IELTS Essay Topic

IELTS essays are a very common and often rewarding form of test writing. For this reason many students seek to avoid the IELTS essay topic.

A good IELTS essay topic is one that can only be described as interesting and thus requires creative thinking. The target audience for such an essay will be adults, not children. An IELTS essay topic that can easily be translated into standard English can be useful if the entire essay has to focus on the same topic but in a different context.

An example of this is a 'Weeping Eulogy'. Such an essay might consist of all sorts of funeral speeches. For example, some would be an accurate translation of a person's famous speech from the time of his/her life. Some, however, may have absolutely nothing to do with that particular event and would have been created in order to make an interesting statement.

Many students choose to avoid the subject of Eulogy.
